Who Is The Collective Dance Academy?

 More than just a dance school, The Collective Dance Academy is a team of passionate dance teachers who have come together with one clear goal - to provide the very best dance training in Port Stephens.

The Collective is owned and operated by Jenny Biscan & Ashleigh Parkes.  They grew up dancing together and later went on to become a highly skilled teachers and choreographers who have worked closely together for many years.  An opportunity arose for these two experienced team teachers to create a legacy and a story of their own but more importantly, to create a dance studio that not only nurtures the love of dance but also provides a home away from home for its students. A place where students learn the discipline and art of dance but also learn camaraderie, sportsmanship, how to work in a team and a genuine passion for what they do and the people they get to do it with. 

  Collectively, the owners of the Dance Academy have many accolades under their belt including choreographing and coaching hundreds of routines to success at Eisteddfods in both solo and group categories. Preparing students for examinations with outstanding results, choreographing for students to perform at an international level in Disneyland Anaheim & Florida, Universal Studios LA & Florida and onboard a Royal Caribbean cruise liner, and so much more! The team is proud of all that they have achieved but in their opinion, their biggest achievement to date is the relationships they have formed over their many years of teaching local children from how to take their first steps on the stage to then

blossoming into stunning dancers in many styles.

Whilst quality dance training is at the forefront of this business, The Collective saw a need for a local dance school to provide more than just teaching children how to dance. A dance school needs the administrative service behind the curtain to be operating at the highest standard. 

With this in mind, they have established a unique business model between the leading directors to ensure that their service, across all areas is paramount.

Their name represents who they are as a school and what they are about ~ believing in equal opportunity and inclusivity for all students!  This is a school with a great vibe and culture whilst providing progressive dance training.
